Lanai is a mostly privately owned island and is the sixth-largest Hawaiian Island. It’s nicknamed “the Pineapple Isle” because of the vast Pineapple fields that once filled the island,  it is now frequently called the “Secluded Island” and there are less than 100 acres of Pineapples grown today. The island now has two luxury resorts, world-class golf courses, hunting, clay shooting, mountain biking, and snorkeling. The only airport is in Lanai City.
