Maui is the closest island to the Big Island and 2nd in size. It’s nicknamed “the Valley Isle” because of the lush tropical rainforest covering and higher elevation interior. One of the biggest attractions is to explore the volcanic crater at Haleakala National Park or take a trip down the road to Hana to see the lush forests and waterfalls, surely a ride you will enjoy forever. Another great attraction is snorkeling or scuba diving around Molokini island. Next, a visit to Lahaina which has an old town feel for shopping and fine restaurants.
